Hammer takes eighth in omnium as 2015 Track Worlds conclude

  
  


(Feb. 22, 2015) – Seven-time world champion Sarah Hammer (Temecula, Calif./TWENTY16 p/b SHO-AIR) finished eighth in the women’s omnium on Sunday, concluding the 2015 UCI Track World Championships in St. Quentin en Yvelines, France, with the final three omnium events—500m time trial, flying lap and points race.

Hammer finished 17th in the 500m time trial in 37.186 seconds, 14th in the flying lap with a 14.522-second run and added 22 points in the points race to bring her total to an eighth-place 126 points. Annette Edmondson (AUS) took gold with 192 points, Laura Trott (GBR) earned silver with 176 points and Kirsten Wild (NED) finished with 175 points for bronze.
 
Missy Erickson (Alexandria, Minn./Momentum Coaching Group p/b Atomic-Momentum Coaching Group) crossed 0.052 seconds behind Fatehah Mustapa (MAS) in the women’s keirin repechage round after placing third in her first round heat.
