USA Cycling Juniors Track National Championships
June 25-29 - Carson, CA

After several years away, Juniors Track Nationals returns to the VELO Sports Center in Carson, California. This world-class indoor velodrome will play host to approximately 200 riders hoping to earn a Stars-and-Stripes jersey in one of the ten events being contested.

FREE, track certification classes will be held for national championship participants on the three days prior to competition. If not already certified, this class is mandatory for athletes in mass start events and strongly recommended for athletes individual events. The certification class is offered to assist riders become more comfortable on riding a steeply banked wood track which has significant differences to more shallow banked concrete tracks.  Junior riders will receive expert level instruction to help riders in navigating the track safely, and instill more confidence, which will ultimately assist in the overall safety of the event.

The class will give instruction to all participants on how to safely navigate a wood 250-meter track with banking of more than 40 degrees. Classes will be instructed by Olympians Adam Duvendeck and Connie Paraskevin. Classes are currently scheduled for 2-4 p.m. on June 22, 10 a.m.-noon on June 23, 10 a.m.-noon on June 24, 5-7 p.m. on June 24 and 1-3 p.m. on June 25. These classes will be provided at no charge.
