Start Lists for the Juniors Track National Championships

On December 20th, 2017 USA Cycling announced the 2017 Clubs of the year.

USA Cycling announced the national calendars for mountain bike and road disciplines on Thursday for 2018. The Pro Mountain Bike Gravity Tour (Pro GRT) will feature six events in six states, spanning March to September. The Pro Mountain Bike Cross-Country Tour (Pro XCT) will showcase seven events in five states. The Pro Road Tour (PRT) will include 21 events across 16 states. Both the Pro XCT and PRT events range from April to September

ProCX REPORT 11: A trio of competitions blanketed the country from coast to coast Nov. 18-19 and packed a punch with 18 races for Week 11 of the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX). Races returned to Suffern, N.Y. for Supercross Cup and to Indianapolis, Ind. for Major Taylor ‘Cross Cup. On the West Coast, the new MoVal CX in Moreno Valley, Calif. capped the weekend with ProCX races for Junior 17-18 Men, U23 Men, Elite Women and Elite Men. 

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announced new appointments to UCI Commissions and ten Americans selected for prominent roles.

ProCX REPORT #10: The 10th week of competitions on the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX) bisected the country with two distinctive events, the Verge Northampton International presented by Cycle-Smart in Massachusetts and the Cyntergy Hurtland in Oklahoma. In its 27th year, the Verge Northampton International served up two days of racing for Elite Women and Men that were dominated by teammates with Cannondale presented by Cyclocrossworld.com. The Cyntergy Hurtland one-day event entered its third year and featured two athletes who made captured their first ProCX titles of the season.

ProCX Report 9: Cyclocross racing made a momentous return Nov. 4-5 to the home of world-renowned Thoroughbred horse racing. The 11th annual Derby City Cup provided a trifecta of events - finals of the ShoAir US Cup-CX Series on Saturday, international winners for the Pan-American Cyclocross Championships on Sunday, and positive impressions for the new course at Joe Creason Park that will host the 2018 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships next December.

Pro CX #8 Report: The Garden State and Ohio Valley staged events Oct. 28-29 for the eighth weekend of competitions on the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX). The rankings for the Elite Men and Junior 17-18 Men would see movement in the Top 10, while consistency for the Elite Women was reflected with a reshuffling in the Top 5. 

Pro CX Report #7: Dry and mild conditions continued for a seventh weekend of competitions for the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX) Oct. 21-22 in the nation’s capital for DCCX. An 11th year of racing at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in metro Washington, D.C. kicked up the dried leaves, dust and the Top 10 of the ProCX points standings with Category 2 races for elite women and men. 

Pro CX Report 6: It was an avalanche of talent that stirred up the dust for the Men’s Under-23 and Junior 17-18 races at US Open of Cyclocross in Boulder, Colo. Oct. 14-15 for the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX). The weekend also featured Category 2 races for Elite Men and Women in Boulder, as well as at the CRAFT Sportswear Gran Prix of Gloucester presented by Ipswich Ale Brewing in Mass. 

Pro CX Report #5: Winning ways continued for the leaders of USA Cycling’s Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX) at Charm City Cross in Baltimore, Maryland. Kaitlin Keough (Racine, Wisc./Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com) added to her collection of podium finishes for the Elite Women with back-to-back victories at Druid Hill Park on Oct. 7-8. Tobin Ortenblad (Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz/Donkey Label Racing) followed his double wins at KMC Cross Fest with the Category 1 victory, and a Category 2 fourth-place finish, in the Elite Men’s events.

The final days of September provided cyclocross racing at four locations across the U.S. The fourth week of the USA Cycling Professional Cyclocross Calendar (ProCX) featured new UCI-inscripted Category 2 events for elite men and women in West Sacramento, Calif. at the West Sacramento Cyclocross Grand Prix presented by Toyota (Sept. 30-Oct. 1). Category 1 and 2 events, as well as UCI races for Men’s 17-18 Juniors were held in Thompson, Conn. at KMC Cross Fest (Sept. 29-Oct. 1).
