Pro CX: Johnson, Nash and Haidet closing on leaders

While the top five of the Pro CX men's standings are unchanged after the three-race weekend, Tim Johnson (Topsfield, Mass./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) has pulled within nine points of Jeremy Powers (Easthampton, Mass./Rapha-Focus) with only three races remaining. Johnson topped the field at the Deschutes Brewery Cup to collect 105 points, bringing his season-long total to 936 points, nine points behind Powers' standings-leading 945 points. Ben Berden (BEL/Raleigh-Clement) remains in third place with 866 points. Ryan Trebon (Bend, Ore./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) is holding fourth place with 711 points while James Driscoll (Sandy, Utah/Raleigh-Clement) rounds out the top five with 530 points. Justin Lindine (North Ogden, Utah/Redline-NBX) and Shawn Milne (Beverly, Mass./Keough Cyclocross) won the men's races in Warwick, R.I.

With only one more race for the juniors men's on the Pro CX, Lance Haidet (Bend, Ore./Bear Development Team) capitalized on racing in his hometown as he finished second in the juniors race to collect 90 points and move into second place of the Pro CX juniors men's standings. Austin Vincent (Simsbury, Conn./Race Cf-Racecf.org @Racecf) remains the leader with 345 points, 59 points ahead of Haidet. Peter Goguen (Hopedale, Mass./Race Cf-Racecf.org @Racecf) slipped down one spot in the standings and now holds third place with 254 points. Cooper Willsey (Hinesburg, Vt./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) is in fourth place, only four points behind Goguen and 14 points ahead of David Lombardo (Crystal Lake, Ill./WCJ Racing), who is in fifth place with 236 points.
