Pro CX: Powers and Anderson continue to lead respective standings
(Nov. 26, 2013) -- There was only a slight change in the men's standings as the USA Cycling Professional Cyclo-cross Calendar (Pro CX) continued over the past weekend with the Supercross Cup in Stony Point, N.Y.
Timothy Johnson (Topsfield, Mass./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) won the elite men's race on both days of the Supercross Cup and moves past Ben Berden (BEL/Raleigh Clement) into second place in the men's Pro CX standings with 782 points. Jeremy Powers (Easthampton, Mass./Rapha-Focus) retains his position atop the men's standings with 811 points. Berden slips to third position in the standings with 769 points, followed by Ryan Trebon (Bend, Ore./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) in fourth with 606 points and James Driscoll (Sandy, Utah/Raleigh Clement) rounding out the top five with 406 points.
The women's Pro CX standings remain unchanged with Elle Anderson (San Francisco, Calif./California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized) leading the way with 670 points. Meredith Miller (Boulder, Colo./California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized) retains her second-place position in the standings with 617 points, 37 points ahead of Katerina Nash (CZE/Luna Pro Team) who sits in third position with a total of 580 points. Rounding out the women's top five are Crystal Anthony (Beverly, Mass./Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies) with 502 points and Katie Compton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Trek Cyclocross Collective) with 453 points.
The Pro CX juniors men's standings also remain unchanged.

2013/14 USA Cycling Professional Cyclo-cross Calendar
There are seven races on the Pro CX calendar over the next two weekends, giving riders ample opportunity to tally valuable standings points. The action continues Nov. 30-Dec. 1 with the Baystate Cyclocross in Sterling, Mass., and the CXLA Weekend: Cross After Dark in Los Angeles, Calif., where each of the juniors men's races will count toward the Pro CX juniors men's standings. The following weekend features two races at the NEPCX - NBX Gran Prix of Cross, Dec. 7-8 in Warwick, R.I., as well as the UCI 1 Deschutes Brewery Cup on Dec. 7 in Bend, Ore. After the North Carolina Grand Prix on Dec. 14-15 in Hendersonville, N.C., the Pro CX calendar concludes on Jan. 5, 2014, with the Kingsport Cyclo-cross Cup in Kingsport, Tenn.
