Pro CX: Powers, Anderson and Vincent remain on top as races dwindle
Jeremy Powers (Easthampton, Mass./Rapha-Focus) won Saturday's race in Massachusetts before finishing second in Sunday's contest to hold the top spot of the Pro CX men's standings with 876 points. Timothy Johnson (Topsfield, Mass./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) placed third on Sunday after he was fourth in Saturday's contest in Los Angeles to add 49 points and boost his season-long total to 831 points, only seven points ahead of Ben Berden (BEL/Raleigh-Clement), who is in third place after winning Sunday's race in California. Berden, who was fifth in Saturday's race, now has 824 points. Ryan Trebon (Bend, Ore./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) finished first and 11th in the two races in Los Angeles to collect 45 points and remain in fourth place with 651 points. James Driscoll (Sandy, Utah/Raleigh-Clement) also competed in Los Angeles and placed second and seventh in the two races to remain in fifth place with 452 points.

Despite winning both of the juniors races in Los Angeles, Maxx Chance (Boulder, Colo./Clif Bar Development Cyclocross Team), is just outside the top five of the Pro CX juniors men's standings in sixth place. Austin Vincent (Simsbury, Conn./Race Cf-Racecf.org @Racecf) remains the leader with 345 points, 91 points ahead of Peter Goguen (Hopedale, Mass./Race Cf-Racecf.org @Racecf), who is in second place with 254 points. Cooper Willsey (Hinesburg, Vt./Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) moved into third place with 250 points. David Lombardo (Crystal Lake, Ill./WCJ Racing) holds fourth place with 236 points while Ian McShane (Louisville, Ky./Sophisticated Living-Bob's Red Mill) rounds out the top five with 226 points.

The Deschutes Brewery Cup in Bend, Ore., on Saturday, is the last remaining UCI 1 race on the Pro CX, providing riders with triple points. Also this weekend is NEPCX-NBX Gran Prix of Cross Days 1 and 2 on Saturday and Sunday in Warwick, R.I. |
