NRC: Season concludes with exciting sprint finish
USA Cycling's National Racing Calendar (NRC) completed Saturday with the Univest Grand Prix in Souderton, Pa. Despite the top spot in the men's standings already secured, there was plenty to ride for as the remaining spots in the top five were up for grabs.

Jacobe Keough (Sandiwich, Mass./UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team) secured the second position in the men's NRC standings in a hotly-contested three-rider battle. Keough finished just 82 points behind Francisco Mancebo (ESP/Realcyclist.com) after finishing seventh in the Univest GP to boost his season total to 740 points. Luis Romero Amaran (CUB/Jamis-Sutter Home) held on to the third position while Jonathan Cantwell (AUS/Team Fly V) finished fourth. Despite his second-place finish on Saturday, Frank Pipp (Boulder, Colo./Bissell Pro Cycling) placed fifth in the final men's NRC standings.
The top five of the men's team NRC standings were unchanged from last week. Buoyed by Pipp's performance, Bissell Pro Cycling won by 337 points over UnitedHealthcare. Jamis-Sutter Home finished in third place, 139 points behind UnitedHealthcare. Team Exergy held on to fourth place, only 24 points ahead of Realcyclist.com.
Ryan Roth (CAN/Team SpiderTech p/b C10) won a three-rider sprint to earn the top spot of the podium at the Univest GP. After the riders had contested nearly 100 miles, Roth slipped along the right side during a descent before the uphill finish, narrowly edging Frank Pipp (Boulder, Colo./Bissell Pro Cycling) and Tom Zirbel (Boulder, Colo./Jamis-Sutter Home) in the final results.
Women
As has already been announced, Janel Holcomb (San Diego, Calif./Colavita-Forno d'Asolo) secured the women's individual standings while helping Colavita-Forno d'Asolo clinch the women's team standings.
