(July 15, 2014) – Luke Keough’s (Sandwich, Mass./UnitedHealthcare) lead was the only unchanged slot in the men’s USA Cycling National Criterium Calendar (NCC) standings following a top-five shakeup at the Andersen Banducci Twilight Criterium in Boise, Idaho, on July 12.

Keough’s second-place effort was enough to hold his top spot at 544 points in an otherwise shifting men’s top five. Kenneth Hanson (San Diego, Calif./UnitedHealthcare) used his Andersen Banducci Twilight Criterium win to propel him from fourth to second with 467 points, while Daniel Holloway (Morgan Hill, Calif./Athlete Octane Cycling) dropped from second to third with 438 despite taking third at the criterium. Isaac Howe (Winooski, Vt./Champion System-Stan's No Tubes) was bumped from his third-place perch following his 20th-place finish, closing out the week with a fourth-place 371 points. Adam Myerson (Boston, Mass./SmartStop Pro Cycling) finds himself back in the top five with 360 points after taking sixth at the event.

WOMEN

Unlike the men’s standings, the women’s top five remained unscathed after three riders recorded top-10 finishes at the Twilight Criterium. Erica Allar (Tucson, Ariz./Colavita-Fine Cooking) continued to stretch her lead at the top, winning her second consecutive NCC event in as many weeks and giving her 807 points on the year. Tina Pic (Hailey, Idaho/Fearless Femme) crossed seventh in Boise, retaining her spot in second with 569 points, followed by Laura Van Gilder’s (Cresco, Pa./Van Dessel Factory Team p/b Mellow Mushroom) third-place 507 points. Van Gilder took fifth at the criterium. Despite not competing at the Andersen Banducci Twilight Criterium, Coryn Rivera (Tustin, Calif./UnitedHealthcare) and Kendall Ryan (Ventura, Calif./TIBCO/To the Top) held their respective fourth- and fifth-place standings with 430 and 364 points. Rivera was racing in last week's Giro Rosa in Italy, while Ryan helped lead Team USA to an overall title at the Tour de Feminin in the Czech Republic.
