Mancebo, Neben stay in NRC lead after Sunny King Criterium

The 2011 National Racing Calendar continued with Saturday night's Sunny King Criterium — 60 laps of a .7-mile circuit along the streets of Anniston, Ala.

Jonathan Cantwell (Springdale, Ark./Fly V Australia) won the top spot of the men's podium ahead of Michael Northey (Los Angeles, Calif./PureBlack Racing), Rahsaan Bahati (Los Angeles, Calif./SKLZ p/b Pista Place), Patrick Bevin (Santa Rosa, Calif./Bissell/ABG Cycling Club) and Raymond Kreder (Boulder, Colo./Chipotle Development).

On the women's side, the Italian Colavita/Forno D'Asolo team dominated with Janel Holcomb (San Diego, Calif./Colavita Forno D'Asolo) leading the way. Holcomb earned her first NRC win pulling away from the pack. Samantha Schenider (West Allis, Wis./TIBCO to the Top) led the sprint group behind Holcomb to take second place ahead of Kelly Benjamin (Kansas City, Mo./Colavita/Forno D'Asolo), Christina Gokey-Smith (Denton, Texas/Rouse Bicycles) and Laura Van Gilder (Cresco, Pa.).
