What makes you a unique person? I grew up on a small Island in the northwest. I love woodworking and am currently in the process of remodeling our house. I am six credits away from finishing my mechanical engineering degree at the University of Colorado. I am registered with USA Boxing.

How did you first become involved in cycling? I started cycling with my dad at a young age, mostly mountain bikes just for fun here and there. In middle school I started to ride my bike for transportation, to school and friends’ houses. In high school I started riding a road bike for cross-training for crew as well as transportation. I ended up being better on the bike than I was at crew, so by the end of high school I had started racing the local Seattle circuit.

Charity Work or Community Involvement: I did some work here in Boulder to help fundraise for Jamestown and Lyons after the floods last year.
