U.S. Team Announced for Final UCI Track World Cup

Print USA Cycling has announced the roster of 12 riders slated to contest the fourth and final round of the UCI Track World Cup at the velodrome in the Olympic Park in London from Feb. 16-19. The event will also serve as an Olympic Test Event.
A standout American squad will be led by world-record holders Sarah Hammer (Temecula, Calif./OUCH Pro Cycling), Dotsie Bausch (Irvine, Calif./OUCH Pro Cycling), and Lauren Tamayo (Asheville, N.C./Exergy Twenty12). Hammer has already won a pair of Omniums at UCI World Cups earlier in the season.
Bausch, Hammer and Tamayo will be joined by Jennie Reed (Seattle, Wash./OUCH Pro Cycling) as possible members of the Team Pursuit squad in London. Hammer is also slated to contest the Omnium while Reed will also compete in the Individual Pursuit. Madalyn Godby (Louisville, Colo./enCompass Racing) and Cristin Walker (Houston, Texas/Momentum Coaching Group p/b Atomic) will round out the women's roster, each contesting the Sprint and Keirin. The two will then unite for the Women's Team Sprint. Each of the women representing the United States are on the American 2012 Olympic Long Team
The men's roster is headlined by 2008 Olympic cyclists Michael Blatchford (Cypress, Calif./Project London 2012), Bobby Lea (Topton, Pa./Pure Energy Cycling-ProAirHFA), and Giddeon Massie (Cypress, Calif./Bike Religion). Blatchford and Kevin Mansker (Long Beach, Calif./Project London 2012) will each compete in the Sprint. That duo will be joined by Massie and Dean Tracy (Portland, Ore./Rubicon Cycling) for the Men's Team Sprint. Lea is slated to compete in the Omnium and Matthew Lipscomb (Decatur, Ga./Fulton Flyers) is scheduled to contest the Points Race and Kilo.
