Hobbies: Hiking, trail running, baking and eating cookies

Favorite Race: "That's a tough one-- my favorite one-day race is Fleche Wallone; my favorite stage race is Thuringen Rhundfahrt."

Favorite Place to Train: "I love training near my home in Fairfax, all around Marin County and all along the coast! Best place on Earth!"

Motivation: "All of my goals and dreams. I want to win or help a teammate win a World Championship medal and an Olympic medal at some point in my career. Every day I get on the bike I am doing it with these big goals as motivation to put my best into every ride and race. I am also motivated by my family and friends who have supported me from the very start."

Best advice you received from a coach when you were starting out: "The importance of recovery. When I started, I just wanted to train hard every day, and I didn't understand what all this 'rest' was about... I quickly learned."

Hero/role model: "Ina Tuetenberg will forever be one of my biggest hero/role models. She was a force in the peloton, not only because of her extreme talent, but also for her class. She made an impact on the sport because of the person she was both on and off the bike. I was lucky to race Redlands this year with her as my director, and it's an experience I will never forget."

What is your best cycling memory: "When I won Redlands this year, all four of my parents were there watching. I ended up taking the overall on the last stage after my team raced their hearts out for me. Crossing that line knowing I had just won my first stage race and getting to celebrate that not only with my team but also with my family was an incredible experience."

How did you first become involved in cycling: "Growing up, I always had big dreams; I always wanted to be something or do something important, something challenging, something big! I grew up playing soccer and had dreams of being the next Mia Hamm, however, that didn't quite work out. When I started college, I loved academics but really needed a competitive outlet. My boyfriend at the time, Matt Bradley, raced bikes and convinced me to get one. Two weeks after I got my first bike, I did a race and absolutely killed it. I fell in love with it and never looked back!"

Cycling goals: "My biggest goal is to win an Olympic medal for time trialing. I also have the goal of winning or helping a teammate win both a World Championship and an Olympic medal during my career. I want to win national championships for both TT and road during my career, and last but not least, I want to win a World Cup."
