Pro GRT: Warren & Kintner seal 2011 overall after Northstar finale

Pro GRT: Warren & Kintner top 2011 Pro Gravity Tour standings

USA Cycling's Pro Gravity calendar (Pro GRT) finished last weekend with the Northstar Downhill in Truckee, Calif. Finishing second at Northstar Cody Warren (Alpine, Calif./DRD X-Fusion Intense) earned the men's overall title, while Jill Kintner (Ferndale, Wash./Transition Racing) topped the women's standings despite not contesting the series finale.

Logan Binggeli (Saint George, Utah/KHS Bicycle) won the men's race to catapult himself from ninth place on June 27 to second place in the final men's Pro GRT standings. Warren maintained his top position in the final standings after placing second in the race. Aaron Gwin (Temecula, Calif./Trek World Racing) finished the season tied with Curtis Keene (Capitola, Calif./Specialized-SRAM) for third in the rankings while Justin Leov (NZL/Trek World Racing) was fifth.

In the series finale at Northstar, Binggeli was the only professional rider to complete the 1.97-mile course in under four minutes, finishing in 3:59.6 to win the men's contest. Warren finshed second, 2.5 seconds ahead of Keene in the Northstar Dowhnill's final results.

The course for the professional men and women started at 7,638 feet of elevation and covers 1,096 feet, finishing at mid-mountain of Northstar-at-Tahoe's Moutain Bike Park - 6,542 feet of elevation.

Jill Kintner (Ferndale, Wash./Transition Racing) topped the final women's Pro GRT standings after winning each of the three races she entered. Darian Harvey (Durango, Colo./Vixen Racing) jumped from third on June 27 into second in the final standings, sliding Jacqueline Harmony (Sedona, Ariz./All Mountain Cyclery-Vixen Racing) into third overall. Mary Moncorge (FRA/Santa Cruz Alliance) moved from sixth into a tie with Joanna Petterson (Kapea, Hawaii/Specialized) for fourth place in the standings after her third-place finish in Truckee.

Katie Holden (Kirkland, Wash./Specialized USA) won the Tahoe Pro GRT finale by 1.5 seconds over Harvey. Moncorge, who finished third, was only 4.2 seconds behind Holden. Fourth-place rider Cierra Smith (Reno, Nev./Specialized Allride Academy) was three seconds faster than Tasa Herndon (Stateline, Nev./Vixen Racing).

Mata & Prado emerge atop final Pro UET standings

The USA Cycling Professional Mountain Bike Ultra-Endurance Tour (Pro UET) completed with the Hampshire 100 in Greenfield, N.H. Manuel Prado (Huntington Beach, Calif./Team Sho-Air) and Pua Mata (Huntington Beach, Calif./Team Sho-Air) topped the final men's and women's standings.

MEN

Prado topped the men's standings with 160 points. Colin Cares (Boulder, Colo./Kenda-Felt) and Justin Spinelli (Nashua, N.H./Luxe Wheelworks), who were the only other riders to win a race on the Pro UET this season, tied for second with 60 points apiece. Three riders, Jay Henry (Avon, Colo.), Jonny Hintze (Salt Lake City, Utah/Bikers Edge) and Jonathan Schottler (Columbia, Mo./Michelob Ultra-Big Shark), tied for third place with 40 points apiece.

WOMEN

Mata won each of the three races she entered to amass 180 points and top the final women's standings. Karen Potter (Shrewsbury, Mass./MTBracenews.com/iRideAdventures), who won the Hampshire 100, finished second with 60 points. The four riders tied for third with 40 points were: Anna Milkowski (Andover, Mass./Wheelworks Racing), Jana Repulski (Boise, Idaho), Jennifer Smith (Gunnison, Colo./Alpine Orthopaedics) and Andrea Wilson (Cordova, Tenn./Mid South Velo).

Plaxton and Davison finish atop Pro XCT standings

Max Plaxton (CAN/Specialized USA Factory Racing) and Lea Davison (Jericho, Vt./Specialized) topped the final standings for USA Cycling's Pro Mountain Bike Cross-Country calendar (Pro XCT).

In the men's standings, Todd Wells (Durango, Colo./Specialized Factory Racing) was 230 points behind Plaxton and only 20 points ahead of Sam Schultz (Missoula, Mont./Subaru-Trek). Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (Boulder, Colo./Subaru-Trek) finished fourth while Adam Craig (Bend, Ore./Rabobank-Giant) was in fifth place.

Georgia Gould (Fort Collins, Colo./Luna Pro Team) finished the season 180 points behind Davison in second place in the women's standings. Emily Batty (CAN/Subaru-Trek) was just 30 points behind Gould in third place. Chloe Forsman (Tucson, Ariz./BMC MTB Development Team) finished in fourth place while Krista Park (Madison, S.D./Cannondale-No Tubes) was in fifth place.
