MEN
Aaron Gwin (Temecula, Calif./Trek World Racing) assumed the lead on the Pro GRT men's standings after winning Sunday's contest in Mountain Creek, N.J. Gwin registered a time of 2:10.09, four seconds faster than Justin Leov (NZL/Trek World Racing). Gwin now holds a 40-point cushion on second-place Steve Smith (CAN/Devinci Global Racing). Leov is in third place, 18 points behind Smith. There is a two-rider tie for fourth place as Mick Hannah (South Fork, Colo./Hutchinson United Ride) and Phil Kmetz (Keene, N.H./Von Cooper) each have 30 points, 12 fewer than Leov. Kmetz placed third Sunday, nearly eight seconds behind Gwin.
WOMEN
The Pro GRT women's standings are jammed as only 38 points separate the top six riders after two events. After winning on Sunday, Lauren Daney (Stafford, Va./DRD Intense) holds an eight-point cushion on the previous leader, Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash./Team Norco International). Miranda Miller (CAN/SantaCruz-SRAM) and Elinor Wesner (ISR/Fastline Racing) each have 40 points to tie for third place, after each recorded a second-place finish in the first two events. Similarly, Holly Feniak (CAN/GoPro-Cove-Shimano) and Katelyn Parhiala (Arlington, Mass.) are deadlocked for fifth place with 30 points apiece.
