The 2014 USA Cycling Pro Gravity Tour (Pro GRT) continued over the weekend with the Gravity Open at Plattekill Mountain, May 25, in Roxbury, N.Y.

Aaron Gwin (Wildomar, Calif./Specialized Racing) descended to the men's win in a time of 2:36.99, besting second- and third-fastest riders George Branningan (Trek World Racing) and Neko Mulally (Pisgah, N.C./Trek World Racing) who clocked 2:29.80, and 2:30.80 respectively. With his second consecutive Pro GRT win this year, Gwin launched from second place into the number-one spot in the men's Pro GRT standings. He took over the hot seat from Kevin Aiello (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./KHS Factory Racing) who placed fourth on Plattekill Mountain. Mulally maintained his third-place ranking while Logan Binggeli (Saint George, Utah) moved from fifth into fourth after earning 20 points with the fifth fastest time down Plattekill. Brook MacDonald (NZL/Trek World Racing) was sixth in the race, earning enough points to push him into the top five of the men's standings.

Even though she didn't compete in stop #3 on Plattekill, Rae Gandolf (Zanesville, Ohio/Team Kona Bikes-Kenda-HWB Cycling) was able to hold onto her number-one spot in the women's Pro GRT standings with 72 points.  However, Zimmer's second-place finish in New York earned her 40 points and brought her tally to 70. She moved from fourth into second in the standings and is easily within striking distance of Gandolf.  Courtney entered the standings with her win and 60 points, putting her in a tie for third with Miranda Miller (CAN). Fifth place is currently occupied by Elinor Wesner (Cresskill, N.J./Giant-Shimano-Tenafly) who was the fifth fastest woman down Plattekill Mountain.
