Manchester, GBR (April 19, 2013) --
Two Americans ended up on the podium at round one of the 2013 UCI Supercross BMX World Cup in Manchester, England on Friday.

Alise Post (Saint Cloud, Minn./Redline Bicycles) and Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./BMX Racing Group-Chase Bicycles) were second and third respectively in the elite women's and men's Superfinal time trials.

Post turned in a blazing time of 33.212 to finish just behind winner Shanaze Reade (GBR) who took the victory on her home track with a time of 32.351. Rounding out the podium was Merle Van Benthem (NED) with 33.279 while American Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif./Haro Bicycles) just barely missed the podium in fourth and Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill./GT Bicycles) was seventh for the USA.

In the men's event, Fields clocked a 29.596 while Liam Phillips (GBR) and Tory Nyhaug (CAN) were first and second in 29.357 and 29.389.
