Men's Final
A big upset left Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./ Chase/Monster) eliminated from the finals after he placed a heart-breaking fifth in his semifinal round. Still, five of the eight men that made it to the main event were Americans. After a hard-fought battle, Long was the first American to cross the line, finishing second to winner Sam Willoughby (AUS) and ahead of bronze medalist Carlos Alberto Ramirez Yepes (COL). Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./Haro Bicycles) was fifth, Justin Posey (Winston Salem, NC/Dan's Comp) sixth, David Herman (Wheat Ridge, Colo./Free Agent Bicycles) seventh, and Jared Garcia (Victorville, Calif./Supercross BMX) eighth.

"After last night, I couldn't be more happy with my consistent laps today. Proving to myself that I own my mind and nothing gets me down," Long posted on Twitter after the event.
Women's Final
After two of the USA's top female riders, Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill./GT Bicycles) and Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif./Haro Bicycles) were eliminated in their semifinal rounds, two American women made it to the main event. Alise Post claimed the bronze medal after finishing behind first- and second-place riders Mariana Pajon (COL) and Caroline Buchanan (AUS). Dani George (Palmdale, Calif.) was sixth for the USA.
Final World Cup Standings
Corben Sharrah finished the season as the highest-ranked American male in the World Cup standings, finishing fourth overall after placing fifth in the final in Chula Vista on Saturday night. Connor Fields finished right behind Sharrah in the standings, in fifth overall while Liam Phillips (GBR) took the top prize.
The top American female at the end of the day is Brooke Crain. Ranked fifth overall in the World Cup standings, she finished the season just ahead of fellow American Felicia Stancil who is sixth. Caroline Buchanan (AUS) was the overall women's winner.
