Universal Sports/NBC to air BMX Supercross World Cups

  
  


Universal Sports has partnered with Global SX Events to broadcast the 2011 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup. This partnership will include both live and taped coverage of the remaining World Cup events, including a stop in London, England that will air on NBC on August 21. This marks the first time since the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games that BMX racing will be available live to U.S. television fans.

The UCI BMX Supercross World Cup is the premiere BMX racing series in the world, showcasing the very best riders on the most demanding and spectacular BMX Supercross tracks ever build. The World Cup is the main qualification events for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Fans will get a preview of the official 2012 Olympic track from London on August 21on NBC. This event will serve as the only opportunity for BMX athletes to compete on the Olympic track before the London Games.
