Jacob named 30-34 men's road race national champion

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Sept. 11, 2010) - Following the sanctioning of the former national champion in the men's 30-34 road race at the 2010 USA Cycling Masters National Championships, Jonathan Jacob (Indianapolis Cycling Club) of Evansville, Ill. has been awarded the national title in that event. Jacob will be awarded the gold medal and the Stars-and-Stripes jersey to be worn in competition for the following year.

Adam Bergman (Lino Lakes, Minn./Kentucky Flyers) was will also be awarded the silver medal and John DeLong (Blacksburg, Va./Carolina Bicycle Company) the bronze; while Brina Toone (Birmingham, Ala./Birmingham Velo/Tria Market) moves into fourth and Igor Volshteyn (New York, N.Y./Kraft Genie Cycling) is on the podium in fifth. Congrats to all of the winners.

As a result of a doping violation, Andrew Crater was disqualified from all competitive results achieved since Aug. 1, 2010 when his sample was collected, This includes the forfeiture of any medals, points, and prizes from that date forward including the 2010 USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships.
