Junior Track Nationals get underway in T-town on Thursday

Trexlertown, Pa. (July 6, 2010) – Over 200 young cyclists, between the ages of 10 and 18, are set to converge on the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, Pa., July 8-11, for the USA Cycling Juniors Track National Championships.

In addition to the 24 Stars-and-Stripes jerseys that will be up for grabs, start spots for the 2010 UCI Juniors Track World Championships will also be on the line in T-town.

National titles will be awarded to the winners in each of the men’s 17-18 and women’s 17-18 individual events, as well as to the overall omnium winners in the men’s and women’s 10-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 categories. Also earning national champion titles will be the team sprint and team pursuit winners in the men’s and women’s 17-18 categories, as well as the men’s 16-18 Madison winner.

National champs in the 17-18 individual events will automatically earn the right to represent the USA, August 11-15, at the UCI Juniors Track World Championships in Montichiari, Italy.
