2004 Stenner Scholarship winners announced

The USA Cycling Development Foundation is proud to announce the winners of the 2004 Stenner Memorial Scholarship Awards. Margot Herman of Cornell University, and Andy Schultz of Montana State University, are this year's recipients of this prestigious award.

Herman is a senior at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, double majoring in Human Biology and Health and Society. Herman holds a 3.7 GPA, is on the recent Dean�s List and has served various roles for the Cornell team including Team Captain, Treasurer and for 2005, the President�s position. Herman races both road and cyclo-cross events, and has a long list of top-five collegiate and USCF finishes over the last three years, as well as a Collegiate Criterium Conference Championship, a top-ten finish at the 2004 Collegiate National Road Race and most recently a USCF regional cross series championship. Herman hopes to enter medical school in 2006, and continue racing as well.

Schultz is a junior at Montana State, majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Business Administration. He holds a 3.9 GPA with numerous appearances on the Dean�s List, is the Club President for the MSU Cycling Team and a club leader i

n team skills development, community involvement and local race promotions. Schultz also has a long list of great race results on the road and mountain bike for 2004, but most notabe is the 3rd place finish in the Under-23 National Mountain Bike Championships in September of 2004 at Mammoth Mountain, CA.
