NCC: Daniel Holloway wins Dana Point; Moves into 2nd behind Alzate in standings

In Dana Point, Daniel Holloway (Morgan Hill, Calif./Athlete Octane Cycling) won the sprint finish for the top step of the podium ahead of Luke Keough (Sandwich, Mass./UnitedHealthcare) and Fabrizio Vonnacher (Tustin, Calif./KHS-Maxxis p/b JAKROO).
Although the 100 points he collected for his win brought his point total to 188 and catapulted him into second-place in the NCC standings, the win wasn't enough for Holloway to overtake NCC leader Carlos Alzate (COL/UnitedHealthcare). Alzate wasn't in Dana Point, but the 280 points he amassed in the first three NCC events of the year kept him in the number one spot.
Isaac Howe (Winooski, Vt. /Champion System - Stans NoTubes), who placed ninth in the Dana Point Grand Prix to bring his point total to 180, moved from second to third in the rankings. Fourth place is currently occupied by Dana Point runner-up Keough while Hilton Clarke (Santa Monica, Calif./UnitedHealthcare) moved from third down to fifth after being absent from the weekend's racing.
In the men's team standings, UnitedHealthcare still has a commanding lead with 628 points, compared to the 248 points of its nearest threat, Athlete Octane Cycling.
The women's individual and team standings remained the same with Coryn Rivera (Tustin, Calif./UnitedHealthcare) in first with 205 points and her UnitedHealthcare team also in the lead position with 515 points.
