Multiple media platforms to show Pro Road & TT Championships

  
  


Colorado Springs, Colo. (May 2, 2013) — USA Cycling is proud to announce that the 2013 Volkswagen USA Cycling Professional Road & Time Trial National Championships will feature the most widely available broadcast platforms ever for the event, which is in its 29th year. The event, which will be hosted by Chattanooga, Tenn., for the first time this year, is May 25 and 27. This year’s event also features the inaugural women’s professional time trial and road championship.

The time trial on Saturday, May 25, and road race on Monday, May 27, will be carried live online and on mobile devices by Tour Tracker. You can download the Tour Tracker for the 2013 USA Cycling Professional Road & Time Trial National Championships app at the App Store or from the event website in the days leading up to the event.

The last two hours of the men’s road race will be broadcast live on Universal Sports beginning at 4 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 27, and, finally, there will be a recap show broadcast by NBC Sports on Sunday, June 2, at 1 p.m. EDT.

UNIVERSAL SPORTS
The live broadcast of the final two hours of the men’s road race will feature highlights from the time trials and the women’s road race. Craig Hummer, Robbie Ventura and Kristin Armstrong will handle the commentating duties.

TOUR TRACKER
You can follow the entire event live virtually anywhere in the world through the Tour Tracker app. The application will include a live video stream from the time trial and road race online and on iOS and Android devices. Tour Tracker will also provide fans with streaming video of the time trial and road race from several different vantage points. The primary live view will update viewers on the race situation, with position and time gaps between the breakaway, chase and peloton. This also will offer a GPS map and profile of the course and a text play by play. Additionally, the consumer can see photos and videos from the day's events as well as general classification and King/Queen of the Mountain standings.

NBC SPORTS
A one-hour recap show is scheduled to be broadcast on NBC Sports Network at 1 p.m. EDT on Sunday, June 2. This will be a recap of the entire event, including interviews, highlights from the men’s and women’s time trials and road races.
