Best advice you received from a coach when you were starting out: "Learn how to go easy on the easy days and how important rest really is compared to training."

Hero/role model: "My grandfather-- he played for the NFL."

What is your best cycling memory: "It's usually something off the bike but with my teammates. But on the bike would have to be my win at Gent Wevelgem."

How did you first become involved in cycling: "My brother talked me into running a marathon in 2006 and from that I wanted to try cycling and triathlons. So I went to the bike shop in Jackson, Miss., and bought my first bike and started riding with the local group rides. I never made it to triathlons... yet."
