Best Cycling Memory: When I was a part of Durango DEVO in high school, we would have a training camp every spring at a “top secret” location, hence the name “Top Secret Training Camp”. It involved camping, jump building, marshmallow roasting, and top-notch shred sessions. The DEVO crew has an amazing community and everyone would come together to create an unforgettable weekend.

Best Advice Received from a Coach When You Were Starting Out: Chad Cheeney and DEVO’s infamous saying “Never Forget the Feeling” will forever be the best advice I have received. It always reminds me to remember why I ride and the unmatched joy biking gives me.

Motivation: The largest source of motivation for riding comes from simply loving what I’m doing. To know that at the top of the hill I am doing intervals on, I will be rewarded with a sweet decent or mind-blowing single track keeps mountain biking fun. And for racing, the motivation comes from giving it everything I can and knowing I was able to do so; there’s an incredible satisfaction from that.

Hero/Role Model: My role model is my younger brother, Christopher. His pure focus and determination to be the best he can is inspiring. He is always so willing to help me improve as well as anyone who needs it. For being a multiple national champion in many cycling disciplines, he is one of the most modest people I know, always with a smile on his face and an incredible attitude. Aside from him finding extreme joy in annoying me, he is one of the most caring people I have ever met and I strive to mirror his compassion and genuine character.

Cycling & Personal/Career Goals: My cycling goals are mostly focused on moving up into the pro category. In the transition of moving from junior to U23, transitioning to the pro field in races was challenging; it is a whole another level of racing. So in the following years I hope to improve my results in those races in the U.S., as well as at nationals and the world cups. I also hope to compete and participate largely in Stanford’s cycling club in both mountain and road bike racing.

My personal goals currently are to enjoy and learn everything I can during my freshman year of college and further pursue my interests in human biology. I hope to continue on with my medical internships outside of school and continue to participate in the development of younger cyclists through Durango DEVO.

First Involvement in Cycling: My brother started BMX early on and my parents have been cyclists for years. I started with DEVO and then moved on to the NICA high school league as well.

Community and Charity Involvement: Durango DEVO, volunteer work through Durango High School Interact Club

Family: Daughter of Field and Priscilla…one brother, Christopher

Did you know? I have relatives that came over on the Mayflower, and Shark Week is a national holiday in my house!
