Hammer leads omnium at halfway point of 2014 Track Worlds

On Saturday, Hammer placed second in the flying lap with a time of 14.165, then won both the points race and elimination race. Sunday's events feature the individual pursuit, scratch race and time trial events.
The men's omnium concluded on Saturday with American Jacob Duehring (Irvine, Calif./GS Ciao) finishing in 15th place. Duehring was 13th in both the individual pursuit and scratch race, and placed 14th in the time trial.
Also competing on Saturday was Elizabeth Newell (Oakland, Calif.) who placed 14th in the women's points race.
