Gwin wins Val di Sole downhill world cup

  
  


Aaron Gwin (Temecula, Calif./Trek World Racing) won the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup #2 in Val di Sole, Italy on Sunday. Gwin earned the commanding victory by more than seven seconds over his closest competitor in the elite men's downhill event.

After finishing second in the world cup's opening downhill round in March, the 2011 world cup downhill champion Gwin moved into a tie for the overall series lead with South African rival Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz Syndicate).
