USA Cycling and the female members of its sport committees have interviewed women who compete, work and help support competitive cycling in America. Get to know their stories, how they became involved in the sport, and what advice they have for other women who want to be involved in bike racing, both on and off the bike.

Elite Cyclists
- Pro Cyclist Emily Kachorek — An elite cyclo-cross and road cyclist who has raced for USA Cycling’s national team in Europe and currently competes in pro ‘cross races for Squid Bikes, the bike frames company she co-founded.

- Bike Mechanic Sara Jarrell — The lead instructor at the SRAM Technical University, Jarrell has wrenched at world cups and the 2012 Paralympic Games.

Women in the Industry
- Team Director Rachel Heal — Following a successful pro career that included representing Great Britain at the 2004 Olympic Games, Rachel Heal moved to the driver’s seat of the team car as a directeur sportif.
- Industry Insider Karen Bliss — A former pro cyclist, Bliss is now involved in several aspects of the industry — from marketing for Fuji Bikes to advocacy on both the local level and with the UCI.
2013 Giro Rosa Interviews
