 Notes
Starting & Staging Procedure: UCI Men's and Women's Elite Events (UCI rule 5.1.043): starting order to be determined by latest published UCI cyclo-cross ranking, as posted on www.uci.ch. Riders with highest UCI points are staged first. Riders with no points will be staged by order of registration, with some discretionary picks placed towards the front. Every Elite rider registered will be called up to starting line in order of bib number. Mens, womens, and junior UCI races are not in the OVCX series and not scored with OVCX points. Staging for all other categories: All non-UCI events are part of the OVCX series, and staging will be carried out according to OVCX (Ohio Valley Cyclocross) rules: first riders per starting wave are staged by OVCX series ranking in their wave (as of Oct 29). Only top-ranked 25 riders per wave qualify, and only those that are pre-registered. After that, staging will be carried out by order of pre-registration. Race-day registrants line up after that at the back - no exceptions. OVCX Series categories: all categories will earn OVCX series points with the exception of the UCI-sanctioned events (U19 Sat&Sun, Elite Women Fri/Sat&Sun, Elite Men Fri/Sat&Sun). UCI events will not receive OVCX points, and will not be staged by OVCX points (see above for UCI staging procedure). Elite 35+ and Elite 45+ will receive 66% of the normal OVCX points, and those points won't be used for future staging until Dec 9th at John Bryan State Park. Women's 35+, Cat 3 and Girls Elite U19 will receive 75% of the normal OVCX points, and those points won't be used for future OVCX staging until Dec 9th.
