"It was a good camp," said USA Cycling' s Coach Benjamin Sharp. "It was an opportunity to meet some of the women who are interested in being part of the team pursuit program and hopefully in the next couple of months, some of them will be able to join the established elite riders."

Sunday saw a group of  elite women gather in California for a training camp. USA Cycling is now hosting a camp for its elite team pursuit women, Oct. 17-24. The following riders are participating:

Dotsie Bausch (Irvine, Calif./Southern California Velo)
Sarah Hammer (Temecula, Calif./OUCH Pro Cycling Team)
Jennie Reed (Kirkland, Wash.)
Lauren Tamayo (Asheville, N.C./Peanut Butter & Co TWENTY 12)
Kim Geist (Emmaus, Pa./Team Alliance Environmental)
Cari Higgins (Boulder, Colo./Peanut Butter & Co TWENTY 12)

"This camp is about getting these girls together again," Sharp went on, "They haven't ridden together since May and we're looking to see where everyone's fitness is and see what we need to work on before the first round of the World Cup."
