First Involvement in Cycling: My dad came from a predominant background in rowing. In his offseason, he raced bikes. I had always been intrigued by the extreme intensity. Cycling was just a natural fit for me.
 
Family: Father, Thomas White, was on the U.S. Rowing Team 1986-89, finished second at the 1988 Rowing World Championships, and was a five-time USRA national champion...sister, Emma White, is a three-time U.S. national champion in cyclo-cross (2012-14).
