"Ben is a great addition to the U23 National Development Program roster. To see him accomplishing his goals and heading for elite European racing really shows his strength of character,” commented Steve McCauley, USA Cycling Development Foundation Director. “His success is also a great reflection on CCAP, his home team. Ben is a great example of how the sport of cycling can help mold a young person and develop remarkable qualities that last a lifetime."

According to Aidan Charles, his coach and founder of CCAP, "All of Connecticut is proud of how far Ben has come. We’re incredibly honored to have played a role in his development as an athlete, a role model for other kids and a leader in our community. Young people need to understand that even though cyclists appear to have only individual goals and standings, those personal goals can be enhanced by participating as a team for competitions," continued Charles.

The U23 Europe Tour race schedule includes: March 21-22 in Valentina Portugal, March 26-30 in Volta ao Alentejo, Portugal, April 4 - 6 in Le Triptyque des Monts et Chateaux in Belgium, April 15 in La Cote Picarde in France (Nations Cup), April 17-18 in ZLM-Roompot Tour in The Netherlands, April 25-May 1 Tour de Bretagne in France, May 7-10 in the Pan-American (Continental), May 14-17 Rhone-Alpes Isère in France, May 30-June 1 Czech Cycling Tour in Czech Republic and June 7 Ronde van Limburg in Belgium.
