Favorite Race: Zolder World Cup

Favorite Place to Train: I mostly train at my house, which is great because I know a lot of good rides. I've also trained in Greenville, and the cycling scene there is amazing.

Best Cycling Memory: Winning the 10-12 race at the 2007 Cyclo-cross Nationals. It was my first cyclo-cross season and it really got me hooked on the sport.

Best Advice Received From a Coach When Starting Out: Keep it fun!

Motivation: I love to ride my bike and win races.

First Involvement in Cycling: I started racing BMX when I was 4 years old. I raced BMX for seven years, and then was introduced to cyclo-cross from people I knew that raced both BMX and cyclo-cross. I got a bike and started racing cyclo-cross and was hooked on the sport. I started to race road the next season and decided to stop racing BMX. BMX definitely helped me get a lot of the skills I have today.

Charity Work/Community Involvement: Austin has helped out in clinics to teach younger riders skills for both cross and road.

Hobbies: Spending time with friends and family, hiking, kayaking, and going to the beach
