2015 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships

Communiqué 1
Bib Numbers: Please refer to the Technical Guide for the proper placement of bib and frame numbers.
Equipment: All equipment must meet UCI and USAC regulations for mass-start events. Saddles must be behind the vertical through the center of the bottom bracket. Aero bars and equipment are not permitted in the Time Trial. Weight limits are 6.8 kg. Wheels must comply with mass-start regulations.
Call-ups: Call-ups are posted according to the regulations. Riders missing their call-up will be slotted at the end of the wave being called.
Courses: After the finish of your race do not congregate on the roadways or in the finish areas.
Road Race:
Neutral Start: The first 1.1 miles of the races will be under neutral control.
Neutral Feed Zone: Starts at 6.1 miles into the circuit. Feeding is not permitted on the first lap of the races. Parking is at the Redmon Baptist Church on Bear Creek Road. Please make full use of the feed zone area. Do not crowd another team.
Litter Zone: Bottles and other discarded objects are to be deposited ONLY within the marked area of the Feed Zone. Penalties may be assessed for littering outside of the zone.
Train crossing point: The train crossing is considered “closed” if the lights are flashing. A group divided by the train closure will be t neutralized and re-started as a complete group. Other situations are covered in the USAC regulations for level crossings.
Criterium:
- Riders deemed out of contention may be pulled at the finish line.
- There will be two neutral pits on the course, both on the Finish straight. One is at the base of the hill, the other is at the top of the hill past the finish line.
- Free laps may be awarded for recognized mishaps until the leaders reach 5 laps to go (8k). After this point any riders in the pit are losing time on the field and must chase or abandon the race.
- There will be six points-primes five places deep during the criteriums (USAC 7I4(c) and 7I5(a) - See Appendix 3, page 227)
Time Trial:
- This is an out-and-back course. The centerline may not be crossed at any time. This will be strictly enforced.
- The Team Time Trial will be scored on the third wheel of every team for all divisions.
