Communiqué No 3
 
Reminders
  • Clothing regulations will be enforced.  Similar uniforms with team identification are required as noted in USAC Collegiate regulations 6E1 and 6E2. Team clothing is required for podium presentations
  • Bikes must meet UCI regulations for mass start events. 
  • Portable toilets are available in the team parking and staging areas. Please use them.  Do not risk being penalized or disqualified for public urination.   You can be disqualified from the event, given civil fines, given race fines or not allowed to start if this is disregarded.
  • Anti-doping.  If USADA is present for testing, they will post required athletes to report at or near the stage at the finish line.  The race officials will not be notified.
    • The antidoping room is in the Convention center, room B11.  See the tech guide for maps.
  • Missing numbers must be replaced at the registration desk.
 
Neutral service for the road races
  • Please remember to assist Shimano Neutral Service if you have a mechanical incident in the road race tomorrow.
  • Please raise your hand to indicate a service need.
  • Please pull to the right side of the road for service.  Service cannot be provided on the left side of the road.
  • Please come to a complete standstill.
  • Please rember that Shimano Neutral service will not draft or tow rider’s back to the field.  Recovery of position in the field is the complete responsibility of the rider.
 
Specific Road Race Information
  • Feeding is not allowed on the first or last lap.  Feeding will be allowed between 10th and 8th street (this is extended one block from the tech guide)
  • Riders out of contention, riding in a group, will be given a bell at approximately 1 KM to go (near the turn to Governor and Main street)-NOT 3KM to go.  Riders given the bell at this location will be placed in the order they cross the line immediately after this bell.  The riders must then withdraw from the race.  Failure to withdraw will result in disqualification.  The race officials will work to inform riders of planned finishes for these riders, but the bell will be your final indication.
  • Riders out of contention and riding alone may be pulled at the line and placed.
  • Team mechanics can be stationed around the course with equipment
 
 
Penalty
Rider 14, FEEHERY, Brandon USAC 193035, Lindenwood University, is fined $50 for failing to control his bike after the final sprint.
